Dead Or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball
These days, the concepts used in the development of video games are so fast paced. So fast that there are times when it’s hard to keep up with them sometimes. Take the video game Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, for starters. If you think the title of the video game, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, is a bit familiar, then you are in every position to feel this way. This is because the video game is actually patterned after the video game series entitled Dead or Alive.
The concept for Dead or Alive actually involves purely fighting games. On a playing field that is three-dimensional, the characters aim to kill each other off as quickly and as efficiently as possible. With moves controlled by specific commands, the characters are pitted against each other, with the aim of draining the life bars of their opponents. And real life martial arts is being employed in this game as well.
In spite of having this as its predecessor, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball is not about fight sequences at all. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, or otherwise known as DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball, is all about the game of volleyball. So, there would be no fighting sequences or martial art combats in this video game.
It was actually in 2003 when Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball was released into the market by Tecmo. Tecmo released this for the video game console of Xbox. With the astounding capabilities of Xbox when it comes to graphics, it is not a surprise that Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball became famous in the market in such a short time. And have you seen Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball pictures? Pictures of the characters of the video game itself have been featured on video game magazines and other forms of media as well. Because of this exposure, Dead or Alive Extreme Volleyball has become more and more popular amongst people of all ages. What’s more, what is not inviting about the beach? The setting of the video game itself is enticing on its own. The sand, the sea, the surf, the game, the players themselves, and the spectators clad in beach wear! Yes, all of these and more make very great sights for sore eyes, so to speak.
So, let us move on to the elements of the game then. With the main story of the video game in tow, players are given a chance to select their own female character to represent themselves. Beach volleyball matches have two players in every team. Thus, the player would then be assigned a partner by the console automatically. The players are then made to choose three activities to do for the morning, the afternoon, and the evening. These activities should be treated as chances to meet potential new match partners, or to challenge fellow players to a game. The earnings from the games won can then be used to buy whatever things the players wish to buy.
The game features 8 female volleyball players. These are Ayane, Christie, Helena, Hitomi, Kasumi, Lei Fang, Lisa, and Tina. Ayane is ninja from Japan, and she turns out to be the half-sister of Kasumi. Ironically, these half-sisters are actually rivals as well. Kausmi is also a ninja who likes telling fortunes and is into the art of origami. Christie is shown to be very much into cars. She is also an assassin from Great Britain. Helena is an opera singer from France, who loves to walk her dog. Hitomi is a high school student from Germany, and she aspired to be a chef someday. Lei Fang is a Chinese student who is into aromatherapy. Lisa is from the US, working as a stockbroker. But Lisa remains passionate about surfing. Tina is a wrestler from the US, and she is Bass Armstrong’s daughter.
